What is Pixdim ?
Pixdim is a software which allows you to make 3D measurements or modelize directly on digital photographs. No more forgotten  measurements... no more trips back to your customers...

Pixdim offers 3 measuring / modeling modes :

1 - Facade Measurement Mode

Pixdim requires just one photo and two known reference dimensions to make measurements and to model a facade. Every measurement you make on the facade is 3D modeled. Pixdim also allows you to export the corrected and rectified photo which can then be used in your favorite CAD application. (Click here for more information on facade modeling)

2 - 3D Measurement Mode :

Pixdim reconstructs a 3D scene based on two photos and one known dimension. You can the make all the measurements you require by defining the corresponding visible points on the two photos. (Click here for more information on 3D Measuring) .

3 - Automatic 3D Reconstruction Mode using coded targets (beta) :

Anybody can make precise measurements without having to be a qualified surveyor. Pixdim reconstructs 3D scenes with a single click of the mouse. Simply position the coded targets, take a series of photos, run the automatic reconstruction command... That's all! Pixdim automatically reconstructs your scene in just a few minutes without any user intervention. Pixdim is automatic and accurate !
Pixdim includes an automatic camera calibration module which automatically corrects lense distorsion when loading photos.

Google SketchUp + Pixdim !
Pixdim is a "Plug in" for Google SketchUp 6 which means that you must install Google SketchUp 6 (Version Pro, free or for evaluation) before using Pixdim. You can download the evaluation version of Google SketchUp 6 here. Pixdim is fully integrated in Google SketchUp 6 and profits from its remarkable graphic interface.
